They wanted to do something that would strengthen individual power in a universe in which freedom was in constant danger.

They came up with two gifts for the universe. These gifts would simultaneously unite beings from all over the universe and encourage their individuality and personal growth, strengthening them against the powers of authoritarianism which had wreaked havoc not only on Earth but on countless planets across the universe.

The first gift was the Meta Monkey. Using The Alpha Monkey’s DNA, they created a race of thousands of advanced monkeys known as Meta Monkeys and placed them on every life-supporting world in the universe.

These immortal beings, seemingly primitive and cute, waited on their home worlds until the time was right. When the planets’ technologies were advanced enough to join The Metaverse, the Meta Monkeys would show their true powers, and protect and help their home planets as Metaversal Guardians. The Alpha Monkey would guide his Meta Monkey family in an epic intergalactic quest to find their second gift: The Playa Coins.

The Being and The Alpha Monkey understood that as civilisations advanced and populations had all their needs met, lifeforms all too often became lazy. Combined with the looming threat of powerful intergalactic governments, they were fearful for the future of the universe. But from millennia of observing life, The Being noticed that there was something that could always bring out the best in lifeforms.

The Being believed that play encouraged the best in everyone: self-improvement, cooperation, community, and joy in the moment.

There were countless forms of play across the universe, and millions of athletes, players and fans. The Being and The Alpha monkey decided to create a community, a way of uniting all of those participating in the world of play. Something that would allow gamers and athletes across the universe to encourage and support each other, while receiving their own awards for their hard work. And so they created The Playa Coin, and spread 2,500,000,000 of them across The Metaverse.

The Meta Monkeys were tasked with finding, minting and exchanging these Playa Coins by participating in game-based communities including video games, sports and esports. Playa coins can be used as rewards to encourage growth when a Playa achieves something extraordinary and exchanged between Playas as a form of cooperative encouragement.

And so when a planet is ready to join The Metaverse the Meta Monkeys living there will join the hunt for Playa Coins as part of the Playa Nation, an alliance of sports, gaming and esports communities.

Each adventure in finding these Playa Coins is minted on the universal blockchain, forever frozen in time and space. As The Playa Nation grows stronger, the Meta Monkey culture of self-expression and freedom will inspire all cultures across the universe to strive for freedom and growth.

In an intergalactic attempt to control The Metaverse, the organisation known as The United Planets is trying to find and control the Playa Coins, fearing that freedom and joy in its own citizens would be a threat to this intergalactic totalitarian government.

Under the guidance of The Alpha Monkey, your Meta Monkey Playa will upgrade his skills, tools, and weapons to fight for Planet Earth, becoming the hero he was born to be in an epic battle against a dark Metaversal force.

Playas will express their own unique stories in The Metaverse, minting unique story moments by way of NFTs. These NFTs are a wonderous treasure in the Meta Monkey culture, and can be stored, exchanged, sold, and traded in NFT marketplaces. Meta Monkeys wear NFTs like badges of honour. A Meta Monkey highly decorated with NFTs commands great respect; it is a sign of great strength as an athlete, community member or supporter.

Playas are also able to encourage and support others with micro-sponsoring. Until now, on many planets only elite athletes and gamers have been paid for the value they provide. Not anymore. With a community of Meta Monkey Playas who are able to encourage and reward each other with micro sponsorships via Playa Coins, anyone can be rewarded for their gaming or sports efforts.

The Future

In recent times, The Being has become more and more curious about Earth and has paid many secret visits to our strange planet. Amazed with the various lifeforms, it has granted many species the same powers as the Meta Monkeys. These beings, including Meta Dogs, Cats, Apes and Tortoises act as guides to the Meta Monkeys. As their biology and cultures are so different to the Meta Monkeys’, they are able to provide powerful insights and help the Meta Monkeys in their quest to find the Playa Coins.
